Alco는 Algorithm Composition을 축약해 만든 말로 작곡가 자신이 프로그램하고 센서로 제어하는 독특한 알고리듬에 의한 연작물이다.
"부산의 바닷가“로 명명된 이 열 번째 Alco의 기본 음향소재는 부산 바닷가에서 가져온 모래와 조약돌, 바닷물과 작곡가의 숨결 소리이다.
이 음향소재들을 연주회장에서 즉석 샘플링하고 실시간 변조시켜 곡을 완성해 나간다.
이 곡의 컨트롤은 다양한 센서로 연주자의 행위를 감지하여 이루어진다

Alco is the abbreviation of Algorithm Composition and composition series by unique algorithm the composer himself programs and controls with sensors. The basic materials of the 10th Alco, 'The strand of Pusan', are sands, pebbles, sea water brought from the seashore in Pusan and breath of the composer. The sounds of those materials are directly sampled in the concert hall and transformed in real-time. This piece is controlled by various sensors which perceive motions of a player.
