2017년 서울시 국악관현악단에 의해 위촉초연된 첫 국악작품， ‘어느날’은， 어린 새가 보금자리를 떠나 거대한 도시와 그 이면을 경험하고 되돌아 오는 과정을 그린 그림 동화 ‘어느날’을 토대로 작곡 했던 작품으로， 그래픽과 항께 연주 되었던 원곡의 30분 중 일부를 발췌하여 모음곡 형태로 재구성하였다．
작품해설(영문)
This piece was selected and performed for the first time by the Seoul Metropolitan Traditional Orchestra in 2017. It is based on the eponymous children’s book that depicts a little bird leaving its nest and returning home after exploring both the bright and dark sides of a massive city. Parts from the 30-minute original work, which was performed along with images, were extracted and rearranged into a suite.
