The piece was commissioned at the modern Music of Korean and Japan concert at Kyoto on August 11, 1982. It was composed to use the peculiar characteristics of string instruments. It has a basically simple tone structure and mood of the Oriental atmosphere. He tried to combine the tones vertically and lineally with the contrasting of the dynamics, spacing, tone colour, and density.
