이 곡은 5개의 짧은 악장들로 구성되었다.
“오색”이란 5곡의 성격이 서로 다르다는 의미를 지니고 있다.
곡의 처음은 몇 개의 음들로 구성된 여러 개의 음 군들의 연결로 이어지는 악장으로 시작하고, 이어서 여러 특징들을 포함하고 있는 악장들로 진행하다가 우연성적인 악장으로 끝을 맺는다.

This work is consisted of 5 short movements. And the "five color" means that each of the 5 movements show its own character. The work begins with a movement with groups of notes that are linked and connected together. As music proceeds, following movements show their distinctive characters in the movements until the music ends.
